A.W. Tozer wrote, "The modern scientist has lost God amid the wonders of His world; we Christians are in real danger of losing God amid the wonders of His Word. We have almost forgotten that God is a Person and, as such, can be cultivated as any person can." We study the Word, many times, to find information on the "End Times," or what righteousness is, or how to pray in order to get. But, how much do we read and study and pray in order to cultivate a relationship with Jesus Christ? In 1 John 1, we read that the apostles were eyewitnesses to the fact of the earthly life of Christ and His resurrection. Verse 3 says, "We proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ." Our doctrine leads to fellowship and our fellowship leads to the riches of the Christian life. The next verse says, "These things we write, so that our joy may be complete." The presence of rich fellowship with the Lord and other believers is joy. As you look at your life, is it a testimony of joy in Christ through a personal relationship with Him?
