One of the things I enjoyed as a child was to draw on a board with a plastic covering. When you lifted the covering, the picture that you had drawn disappeared, it was eliminated. You could start with a clean slate once again (which was good, with my drawing abilities). This is exactly how our sin has been eliminated by our Heavenly Father. Psalm 32:1 says, "How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered." Our sin has been covered. The ugly picture of our life in sin that we created has been covered, never to be seen in the Lord's presence. David agonized over his sin in Psalm 32, but he knew the blessed state of those who come to God for cleansing. We can let sin fester, and even sense the physical turmoil of unconfessed sin in our life. What we have to realize is that we can come to God and He erases our slate. Psalm 103:12 says, "As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us." East and west never meet. God has removed our sin. We need to come daily to God for cleansing from sin.
