It is amazing to look where we find our joy and happiness. So many times we look to sin and the so-called joys of this world. When we forget God, things go from bad to worse. We start to sin for practical purposes, both in thought and deed. Then, those practices turn into sinful habits and those habits come to dominate the life.  It is very esasy to see who we truly are when we look into the mirror of God's Word. Psalm 1:1-3 describes the man who goes against the tide and lives the life he was meant to live. He doesn't take ungodly counsel, or find his 'kicks' in the sins of the world; his conversations are different. Well, what is the difference? Verse 2 gives us the answer: "But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night." The one dominant characteristic is God's Word fills his mind. As we look at the things we enjoy and the things we think about, how much is that structures on the delights of God's Word? God wants us to saturate ourselves with the Word, so much so, that He is our greatest delight!!
