| Jesus, The Great "Word" |

| As we start thinking of Christmas, our minds are taken back to the first century when Christ entered the world. But we must never think that somehow Jesus had a beginning. John 1:1 says these amazing words: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." These few simple words give us so much information about the nature of Christ. He is personal and He is God and our Lord Jesus Christ is eternal. There was never a time when He did not exist. In fact, He is before time. Divine love is so amazing when we start to grasp who was in the lowly manger. This was no ordinary baby but God Himself. If it ever was just another human who lived an extraordinary life, we would often wonder about our salvation. But this was the eternal King of kings. Our hope and security is so grand and wonderful because the nature of our Lord and Savior is so grand and wonderful. Jesus is certainly the Great Word!!! |
