If you had to name the greatest problem in your life, what would it be? It might be that nosy neighbour that relative who gets under your skin, or even that church member who does not see how he or she has offended you. There are many different answers given to this question. But what does God's Word say? God's Word says the greatest problem you have is your own personal sin. Jesus said in John 8:34, "Everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin." It is incredible to see that we are held in bondage and cannot stop sinning. At the same time, we are willfully loving sin and participating in it. We cannot overcome sin except through the power of Christ. So many Christian circles do not believe that sin is their greatest problem. So what is the greatest news in the world? If sin is not our greatest problem, then the gospel is not the greatest news. It might be a raise, medication, change in location or friends but it is not Christ. So many times our appreciation and devotion to Christ are missing because we have not understood our greatest problem. We must remember: we love Him because He first loved us!!
