One of the great comforts to believers throughout the ages is that our God has all knowledge, and has ordained all events in our lives. One verse that has often confused believers is Matthew 6:8, "So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask." This is supposed to gives us confidence to pray to our God. But many ask, "What can I tell a God who knows everything?" The good news is that we can tell Him anything and everything! There are no false fronts, hypocrisy, or pretending in God's sight. You can share your deepest hurts, your frustration with sin, and your dreams and aspirations. We don't share our hearts with people for fear of being misunderstood, or wrongly judged. But with a God who knows us more intimately than we know ourselves, we can tell Him anything and everything!
