Truly Satisfied

Jesus said to the Samaritan woman, "Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst." Jesus promised that each person seeking ultimate satisfaction for the soul, could find it in Him. How truly we fool ourselves with the things of the world and our lusting for them. They give the appearance of contentment and joy, but sometimes that is the furthest from the truth. Spurgeon wrote, "I do not know of anything more dreadful than to be fattened without and starved within; to have everything the heart could wish for, yet not have the best thing the heart ought to wish for. May God save us from that appearance of prosperity which is only a veiled desolation!" This world promises us joy and satisfaction through slick advertising, but that can never content the soul. There is only one Person who can give that satisfaction - Jesus Christ!! Let us endeavour to seek Him and find our greatest joy in serving Him.
