Men, it is impossible for you to love the way this passage describes. It is impossible for you to love in a Christ like way, but it is here we need to recognize that we are needy and selfish and proud. The bar is too high and we are too sinful, and this is where you have to realize that you are not alone. This is where we see the wisdom of the passage. God has created new life in us, and He is always with us, and men we have to walk with God, and nothing will keep us relying on Christ more then seeing our need. This is God’s will for your life. You never have to wonder if you should love your wife. Make much of Christ by loving your wife. Show the glory of Christ by displaying the sacrificial love of the cross of Christ. The more you trust and follow Him the more He will transform your heart. Husbands love your wives.
